Combines SCH EASY CUT

I have had one on my old haybine for many years and it is the best system I have ever seen, I just have the sickle sections and guards, not the new drive. Changing sections and guards is about the same as the JD bolt on sections. I plan to put one on my old 216 this summer, I like not having wear plates.

I prefer the Crary system, but I have not tried the SCH. The reason I prefer the Crary is that if you break a guard and do not have a spare they will interchange with JD, which I can get locally. The Crary guards are very tough and last a long time. They have two cutting edges and seem to do a good job. This doesn't answer your question but FWIW anyway. BH

We run the SCH on a gleaner 8000 head, Its really good, you can increase your ground speed in a little shorter beans and it still wacks them off. less problems, no wear plates, the beveled edge on the guards seems to help with cutting also

Are you refering to the "Schumacher easy cutting system"IJ Our Honey Bee has that set-up. It cuts clean, even in tough wet conditions at high speeds. We have one season on it and we're very happy with it so far.

THANKS FOR THE INFO. I THINK JD'S FARCTORY CUTTING STUFF SUCKS. WEARS WAY TO FAST AND All THOSE SHIMS TO KEEP ADJUSTED IF YOU WANT IT TO WEAR RIGHT. PRICED OUT BOTH NEW 200 BUCKS MORE FOR NEW SCH OVER JD AM GOING WITH THE SCH. THANKS

I had problems with the 936D draper heads we went through a box of sections a day. we are putting a sch sickle and sch sickle drive. they said they can make the drive that will bolt right on.

I have run all 3, factory ,SCH and Crary I prefer Crary over all the rest it cuts better.

We put one on a 925f this winter replacing all the original JD parts. Bought it from Shoups. It went on real nice and we think it will be an excellent addition. Neighbors have used them and like them. Expect to pickup 1_2 to 1 mph and do a good job.
