Well Dan, the first thing I checked this morning was how much strength it took to raise the bar. Believe it or not the effort required I would guess it at less than 50 lbs. I have never had as miserable time cutting beans as I have this year! I had theatened to change the bar to the SCH system before I started this year, but decided, I could just change some guards(my beans are in 30 in. rows) and the knives on the rows, I have done it many times in the past and had none of the problems that have occured this year! Another of the things I tried today that helped, was to check speed of the scickle and speeded it up, but it still didn't help. I can assure you next year it will have the SCH.

HOPE THIS HElPS, I FIND AS SOON AS THE SUN GOES DOWN, I RUN AT ABOUT 25DEGREES ANGlE TO ROWS THIS SEEMS TO PUSH TRASH, WHICH IS MOSTlEY CORN STAlKS, TO THE SlIGHT HOllOWS lEFT BETWEEN CORN ROWS FROM lAST YEAR. I FIND IT HARD TO SEE ANY DIFFERENCE IN CUTTING.
