We have had two 2208 cnh 8-row 30" heads with hyd deck plates for two seasons and like them very well. They are for sale now because we have decided to go to 15" corn rows.
Halfpint, What is your main reason for going to 15" rowsIJ I have harvested 22" rows last year (2002) and have mixed feelings about the yield. Thanks. JWK
Here in Europe it is a little bit different! All our customers plant corn in 15" rows, an the experiance on this size is very good. We increased here our yield 50%!!!! We do have a good climate and lots of rain during the year
Though noone believes in my comment there are some climate dates of Austria: About 800 mm_squaremeter rain trough growing season, temperature about average 24C, corn FAO 350-450, yield up to 16 to_ha based on 14,0 % moisture!
