I mounted 6 reel sweeps on each side of my 25 head in a spiral pattern to clear the sickle. Some guys take them off when cutting improves but I leave mine on. They are available from parts. Tom Russell

A very inexpensive tip to try is the suction tube thing held in place with conduit clamps. I Installed this and have sent Nathan pics. and he will get on asap. Right NathanIJ This cost $46 . Works well. As short beans flip over the tube the stem buts are flipped up and reel will now catch them. Reel can bump this w_o tearing anything up and "self adjusting the reel finger length". Alot cheaper than anything else.....won't cost much to see if it helps. Am beginning to see on other brands as well..tough conditions this year.

tbran, Would you recommend suction tubes instead of sweepsIJ I like sweeps because they were a big improvement over nothing, but if tubes are better, then thats the way to go next year. Tom Russell
