Combines Separation Problems

Most upgrades are for improving the tough condition operation for we rarely had any problem at all when it was hot and dry. Although I'm not sure if there is any upgrade that will hurt you in the dry conditions. I don't like any reverse bars but if you must I would prefer them over the concave. I can not speak for the half height bars in wheat for the only place I have tried them so far is corn. I do know they help a bunch in preventing cob breakup. Maybe someone will speak up where they used the half height in a P3 system for wheat. New non chromed helicals are 1_2" high and chromed are 5_8". I would not ever want the helicals to be wore shorter than 3_8" for easy going crops and not less than 1_2" for tougher going. That is why I insist on chromed helicals. Edible beans require the full 5_8" with no chrome chiped off or wore down. I think the guys putting on the F2 rasp bars are fastening them to seperator grate. Be sure you fasten them very well. I have fastened flat rasp bars inbetween the helicals just behind the seperator grate and it cut very low cylinder loss to less yet. Yes I think material can be speed thru cylinder to fast but I'm not sure we know just how fast that is yet. I would suggest to you to replace reverse bars on seperator side and install your F2 rasp bars. Any other suggestionsIJ
