Combines separator bars

Replaced straight with notched on my standard rotor and am pleased with the results as it made a noticable difference.Would suggest that you consider either a sharktooth grate or running at least one keystock with disrupters on corn and beans as that either will lessen roping and give more turbulance for separating in corn and changing one grate for small grain is not much work.I chose sharktooth and can run as late moisture wise as it seems one would want because there comes a point where the header auger starts to wrap and you lose separation efficiency at the seives and start getting more loss there.

I would agree with Ohio Steve to install the notched bars. Also you may want to check the "vains" over the grate area, I know if they get bent down or broken you will have a large rumble from that area. JWK

A grate made by Hy capacity out of formed angle iron with long wear sickle sections bolted on so they stick up into the separation area. This both cuts ands shreds the soy stems and adds turbulance for corn.Doesn't make as fine a job as a factory shredder but it is close enough that it works quite well for us..
