Combines Separator Grates on STS

19 row separator grates have about 15% more open space as opposed to the old 16 row grates -- in theory, should help to prevent rotor loss in situations where crops are heavier and where MOG is in larger components. For light crops or where MOG is in fine pieces cover plates will be provided.

Just found out today that my '00 rice machine came with the 19 row grates. Deere's website said these weren't available until '01 on corn machines and were standard on all machines in '02. I guess that was correct except for the few rice machines they built in '00.

How can you get more space when you add more rowsIJ

Some of the older grate sections have an area which is blanked off. JD has opened up these areas by incorporating fingers in place of the blanks.
