Combines Seperator Belt Slipping

Sounds to me that your pulley on the engine output shaft is wore so much the belt can not grip it any more. You didn't really say what machine it is but by your nickname I am assuming it is a 750. This is a common problem with 760,s and 750,s with a few hours on them.

Thanks for the reply. Yes it is a 1979 750. How big of a job is it to change outIJ Waiting on drier corn at the moment.

its a job for sure. once you get the traction belts off, it gets fun. you might need to heat the pulleys to get them off or beg, borrow or steal a porta-power hydraulic puller to get them off.
