I had a similar problem on my 2388. Voltage was too low in the cab but was fine back at the alternator. I used a digital multimeter to track it to the main connection on the cab. I spliced it across and it worked fine all year. As far as cold being the issue, there must be a solenoid somewhere that engages the separator. You could try hanging a trouble light there if you are near power to keep it warm and see if it starts in the morning.
