Combines setting concave

Should hit on left and right at the same time or as close as possible. While just touching at the back you should have about .4" at the very front while set at MID. We run one knotch up toward MIN for basically everything. That allows slight wedge while at close concave clearances and more concentric at larger concave clearances. I believe your operators manual shows a chart of this (some did). Now I hear some guy say they open front up toward MAX for corn and that would give a large wedge for front half of concave and rear half would still run very close to concentric at corn setting. I think maybe the opening of front half of concave basically stops it from doing much threshing which allows back half to roll the cobs over less bars to cause less damage!!! Easy to adjust anytime when you get going so just get things level and be ready to adjust for what works best for you. Good luck
