Combines setting cutterbar angle

I like to run the CIH headers tipped down as far as possible. I would just max the adjustment out.

Tilting down all the way makes your header a scoop shovel. Beware of stones if you have any. They hide in soybeans and hard to see at night and when your tierd.

That's a good point....we don't have many stones to worry about. We have a piece of 3" hose bolted to the guards right behind the knife. It has been able to stop any rocks from getting in the machine. I like to be able to cut the beans as low as possible. It's not that uncommon for our beans to only get about 12-16" tall, podded nearly to the ground. Every inch counts for us.

Give your CIH service man a call. There is a correct angle of pitch that the head should set at from the feederhouse. It seems to me it's 9 back but it's been awhile so I may be wrong.

We put duals on a 2166 2 years ago. We adjusted it to around 9 or 10 degrees. At first we went way to far and it picked rocks better than a rock picker. What a pain.
