It's been a couple of years since barley but if I remember right concave about .75 open wind @ 5-6 and both chaffer and seive almost fully open and cylinder about 650 rpm. If I am right we went from peas to barley and the only change was from low to high on cylider gear box.

Barley sets almost like wheat, just a tad lighter so about 1n less on the air. We stumbled onto a system with Barley. The first time we tried some here in the mid south (comes off 10 days earlier than wheat for double crop) when we started we had excessive cyl loss for the first few rounds. (4 bu _a) so we adjusted to acceptable loss. Well, the next spring we had a perfect stand of barley on those first few rounds - no adverse affect to the prior years bean crop. We then cut the barley for hay and planted notil corn. A vertually free hay crop - 4 crops in 2 years - just open up the grate a little. The only problem is there is almost no market for barley in our area so it is not a profitable venture , but it is neat. We also bale the straw- beat the wheat guys to the straw market as well. Just ramblin while on hold on the phone. Sammy B - the timing on an ambac 8010 is 13 degrees
