The problem I had was overloading my sieves with the additional chaff. After trying many settings, pinch points, etc. I finally determined it was uneven air distribution on my sieves - alot on the outsides and little in the middle. I traded my 1680 for a new 2388 and the problem was solved.My settings are tight concave, Gorden cover plates on first concave, corn concaves and keystock grates, almost full air, 1_4 inch on front sieve, 1_2 inch on back two sieves. With this setup I averaged 900 bu_hr in 60 bu wheat.

I just finished working my fields this spring and I also have trails of growing wheat behind my combine. It is mostly in the low-lying thick stubble. I still think this is an overloading of the sieves problem so will experiment with speeding up the vanes in the concave and maybe opening the front sieve to get the chaff airborne quicker.
