I have an 8780, it has the 6 rub bars and one set of knifes.I use narrow wire concave with two concave blanks up front.Make sure you check and ajust concaves like the book says. I run roter speed at about 850 900 air at 760 800. I hope you have air foil chaffer.This machine runs the best when it is FUll" See if you have the new stile beater Massey says its a big improvement we'll see.In 80 + wheat I can fill the tank in about 12 min. on average. let me know how it runs. good luck onion farmer ps I have updated mine with constant roter and beater

With your permission, I'd like to email you info on an alternative rotor setup which we've been doing for about 4 years -- rasp bars as opposed to the rub bars currently installed. More throughput, cleaner samples at slower rotor speeds. Terry

Silver Blood, Set it up as it comes from the factory as wheat machine. That is why engineering produces them that way due to there field test. Unless you are working with this products engineers why would you do anything different.
