I set my cylinder speed to 900 rpm and just leave the rest at were I had it set for straight barley. the book says 850rpm for barley and 950rpmIJIJ for oats so I just set it in between.
I'd check the Posting "Initial Settings for Smal Grains" dated 07_25_05. Click on SETTINGS in the top left of this page under TOPICS, then click on the above titled posting. I find the MF published initial settings are the best place to start, then adjust to the conditions of the particular year.
