Combines settings for tr96

I would try the rotor faster, I have had mine up to 1300 in some beans. If that don't work move concaves up to 5 or so. Do one thing at a time till you crack beans then back off some. I always change things all day to get the best sample. In corn or wheat one setting is good enough but beans change. Faster rotor speed will not crack beans as much as a closed concave will. If beans are grean stemed then you may have to close the concaveIJ The book is only a starting point. Also don't close lower sieve up as you will cut off air to the top. If it works right lite stuff floats out the back on the top seive. Also if you get all of this set you may have to drive faster to load the combine more. We ran a 25' head on ours. Sometimes going faster makes for a better jobIJ Use the grain loss monitor also to check if you change settings to see if it's better or not. Ilnh

I agree with Ilnh. I'm wondering which concave you haveIJ Is it a Universal or round bar and if it's a universal do you have unloading rollers in itIJ Also speeding up the rotor is the best way to do a better job of threshing out those hard to thresh pods. Rotor combine do a lot of the threshing by centrifigual force-that is one bean being thrown against another rather than being rubbed out a in a conventional cylinder. I'm wondering if you have the lugs installed on the front part of the rotorsIJ They really help pull the green straw apart and eliminate the rumbling when uneven feeding is a problem
