Combines shaker bushings when to replaceIJIJIJ

I have a 1500 and had nightwares with that , if they go out they break up your seives and knock out your ecentric bearings, they are made of rubber and probably should be replaced regardless of tere apperance,been told soybeans are especially hard on them, they are inexpensive I would do it by 3000, just my 02 Thanks John

The shaker shoe bushings are made of rubber with a steel insert. they should generally be replaced as soon as any evidence of cracking is aparent of even suspected. Usually what you will see is a very small hairline crack arround the inner edges of the bushing. Be very cautious of the shoe peoition when installing new bushings. Make sure the shoe is in the center position so that the bushing has to flex the same amount in BOTH directions ot they will fail very quickly. It they are installed properly they should last for more than 3000 hours.
