Dink, have run one for three years now and am well pleased with the results in beans.It will substitute fine for a chopper and is easier to maintain,plus will eliminate some rumble.Make sure the separation end of your rotor is in good condition( I prefer the notched green maize bars on my standard rotor). Would recommend the fenders around the straw spreaders as well and you will get a nice even spread.Email if you decde to go this way and will give you some installtion thoughts. Steve

Does the shark-tooth need to be removed in cornIJAlso,how high up do the sections stand above the grate barsIJHigher than 3_4"IJThanks.

Tried them 2 yrs ago, then bought a chopper! Worked pretty good when stems were dry or brittle, when stems were tough did little. Farm in s. e. mn.Disrupeders worked poorly also. We keep rotor speed under 450 if possible so maybe grates and or disrupters would do somewhat better with higer rotor speeds.

No need to remove for corn as it is plenty tough to take on the cobs..I feel that it helps release some grain that may be caught in the husks and therefore helps the chance of rotor loss...will have to measure how far they stick up..plenty of clearance to the rotor bars
