Steve.I can't speak for the sharktooth precisely,since I don't have one,but I am doing a similar thing with bolted-in Tiger Jaw sections with the tips sticking up between the keystock bars.I have found the same thing as what you are talking about.I think the problem with the serr. sections is that there isn't enough of a clean shearing action like there is down on the sickle so those fibers don't get completely cut.I left that type in over on the right side where the clearance is closest,and put the regular sections in the middle and on the left side.Hope this helps.
