This shaker system (88) depends on a tight fit and a exactly synchronised push from the cams on both sides. The replacement shaft and shaker cams provided by CIH are not a fit at all. They are way too loose on each other. If you are about to replace those , first slip the new cams onto the new shaft and you will see what I am talking about. There is no way the bushings and the shaker will last long term with this much play. CIH says they are manufactured 'within the specified tolerance'. Well, they are just too loose to work! I really hope the same batch of cams and shafts are not going into new machines, but I suspect they are. Consequently, 800 to 1000hrs + = shoe problems!!
