Combines short beans

I installed the hose on my M2 last fall and it worked excellent. We only slugged the feeder beater twice and both were due to human error (had the reel too high). Our reel runs slightly in front of the cutter bar when it at it's lowest point. We set it so it just clears the cutter bar when it's all the up and sometimes it will brush the hose. I think you will be very pleased, it made combining beans a whole new experience. Curt

I just installed the suction hose mod yesterday on a 820 header the operator said he didn't think the beans were tall enough to get over the hose. It really WORKED we run the reel low enough to clear the hose and as far back as we could. Before we installed the mod. the short beans would just pile up on the cutterbar until there was a big enough pile for the reel to grab them and then here they come all 20 ft. at once if you were in a spot with green stems you would slug the feederhouse,if they made it past the feederhouse you could bring a R72 to its knees. long story short after installing this mod. we run 6 mph. fed great! Could go faster if sickle could keep up started strippping over 6.

He's right with that hose mod we could out run the cutter bar it fed so smooth all the time. This tip is a big $$money$$ saver if you ask me. Curt
