Combines Shoup combine parts

I think their parts are good enough quality. Some years ago I rebuilt a row crop head with half JD and half Shoup and couldn't tell any difference. The idler sprockets on the gathering belts were identical, made by the same company. The JD sprockets were painted and the Shoup were not, only difference. However, if you are thinking about replacing a concave, get a St. John's concave. They are slightly less money than the Shoup and I believe with the hardsurfacing they will last at least twice as long. Putting in a concave is no fun, don't do it any more often than you have to.
