Check the bolt that secures the pitman arm to the gearbox make its tight. Some have been known to come loose.

I will pay attention to your post. Mine does the same thing. It seems to be on the left side, but the wobble box isn't vibrating. My father seems to think the big auger may be out of balance but yet it isn't shaking.

I had the vibration problem in 2003. Before I started this year I checked everything over and could find nothing loose or broken. Finally I went through the procedure in the operator's manual to adjust the belt tension. I think that the previous time I had adjusted the tension I had not tightened the lower nut on the threaded rod below the pipe spacer. After I got everything adjusted to specs I had no more vibration. That worked for me, hope it does for you.

Check the feeder chain drum. Had a machine we thought vibration was in wobble box and it was bearing on left side of drum.

This suggestion may sound a little off the wall, but it is still a possibility. Check both driveshafts for the header. Make sure that they are phased so that the universal joints are operating in the same plane. Due to the hex shaft, a commone drive between them and two different driveshafts with couplers it is possible to connect the two shafts so they are out of phase. Because these shafts operate at an angle, and if you check the two shafts are at different angles this could be a possiblity, although I think some of the other posts are more likely. How fast is you knife runningIJ Have seen some the can vibrate some at the 600 spm expecially if the header is off the ground.

The bushings on the wobble box mount arm are likely worn, the outside two on the left side of the header were the grease fittings are. They seem tight with the the large spring attached to the arm.You can check each one by prying with a large screw driver or prybar between the retainer nut and the outer housing. Pry up and down and side to side and check both. There should be very little or no movement in the nut. Had same vibration you describe as well as the bar that guards bolt to breaking off repeatedly at the wobble box mount arm. Both problems were fixed once both bushings were replaced. Hope this helps.

Is your backbone broke between your wobble box and the edge of your head IJ
