Combines sieve position

I guess I never had a problem overloading a sieve on a late l2. but to clarify the sieve is the bottom adj screen, however if a customer ran his corn chaffer 1-5_8" round in small grain iI never could get the air and top opening set right as easy as it was with a small grain chaffer. also without the cookie sheets in the bottom sieve would plug at the rear because the chaff couldn"t make it around the bend. We had several we cut the rear rivets except the front two and pulledthe rear panel up to the sieve and re-rivited it to the shoe. it made alot of difference for trash. If this isn't a help I would like to know what is overloading it-trash or clean grain. hope this makes sense

I assume you are talking about plugging the space between chaffer and sieve. If one of the screens enclosing the fan is missing or not fitting correctly, the fan will draw leaves in, and blow them into the shoe between the chaffer and sieve. If you are plugging with crop, check the condition of the fan belt. Some operators stretch the tension spring to the bottom of the side sheet to prevent slipping. Tom in MN

I drilled a hole 1 inch below bottom hole and lowered bottom sieve by that much. This allows more air to get to the chaffer. (Where it should be)
