It sounds like the rear stripper plates are not adjusted close enough to the auger allowing the grain to come around rather than be stripped off and pushed to the feeder chain. Some had two sets of strippers, one under the auger and one behind it. The jury is out on which arrangement works best. I believe the 900 series is adjustable so you can move them closer. They should run quite close and the auger may rub when you first start it up if one side has been exposed to the hot sun.
