Second groove pin was added to later serial number corn heads to eliminate the possibility of groove pin coming out and losing snapping roll point. When ever we run across a corn head with only one hole in shaft we drill second hole in shaft and install second groove pin(not roll pin).Drill all the way through point on second hole, you may need to remove one day.
