So hot, flowers are screaming

It has been so hot and humid for the past few days. Our flowers are screaming! The new vines (grape) aren't enjoying it either. We need rain!

I wondered how your new vines were doing. Do you have to water them because they are new?

I try to harvest as much rain as I can in order to water everything around here. It helps, but it's really getting too hot here. I wish the USDA would redraw its Plant Hardiness Zone Map. I hope you see rain soon, @Gordyg.

Offer them some shade during the hottest part of the day and they might perk back up a bit. It has been ridiculously hot this year!

I'm living this too. I really hate heat both for the health of my plants that are in a bad condition and for my health (when the temperature begins to get hotter and hotter I usually bleed from my nose, terrible). Anyway, an advice I can give you is that you don't have to water them a lot, but more times. (If you have water of course, and this is another problem).

I agree. Watering too much might drown the vines instead of nurturing them. It's advisable to water them consistently throughout the day rather than take the risk of overwatering them.

I had to move some of my flower pots around in order to keep them from fainting in the summer heat. Even the daises have had enough. I hope we get some relief soon.

Sure! The first of September is the beginning of the meteorological fall...no heat anymore. Anyway, here, in the southern Italy we are having really cold days
