Well I have not had to water my plants or flowers in about four days. It has rained so hard here for a week! It's been raining almost daily for 20 days, I swear. How's your weather been?
The rain can be helpful, but be careful that too much of it might be drowning the plants. There's rain here and there, so it's also helping me save some water.
I never thought we'd have too much rain, but we do. It's nice to not have to water the garden, but the weeds are growing like crazy. Our creek is overflowing it's banks (luckily it's not near our house). We can't keep up with mowing the lawn, and there aren't enough dry days to mow it. I'm glad I don't produce hay anymore, I don't think I'd have a 3 day window to cut, rake and bale it. But this is still better than having a drought!!
Same here, especially with the mowing. I suppose the benefit is that the bees appreciate my overgrown patch of weeds. Some of my veggies are bursting open before they can fully ripen. That's probably the biggest downside for me.
