Combines soybean residue on rear axle

THat might have been me. Someone else did some mods too. Email me and I will try to find the pics back. This is on my 1680. I just tried to make a rubber chute that kept the stems off the axle

I think May Wes sells plastic shields that mount to the axle to prevent residue from building up. I think there is a picture of them in the latest Shoup catalog or I bet May Wes has a website with them listed.

Thanks for the pics. I tried to do something like that but with big rear tires they would catch and rip the bolts through the flaps and I was back where I started. I didn't do it exaxcly as you did though so I'll print the pics so I can look at the back of the combine at the same time. I also have the drop down spreaders that catch the chaff also, so I'm not sure if that's causing me complications also or not. thanks again.

The corners of the belting that go under the seive pan is connected (one side to the other ) by a tarp strap, to keep the "chute" pulled together. I wanted the control the flow of material as much as I could
