nope you are fine. Run cyl at 3_8" TRUE clearance from bottom tip of spike to floor between spikes. As with bars, speed cracks. Usually only two rows of spikes - those in the door - are needed in soybeans. Start at 600 rpm, and 2nd gear low variable and increase from there.
