I have seen where someone extended the louvers to hold onto the chaff longer. That way they could continue the curve of louvers to spread further left and right. You may want to cut curtain around straw spreader higher so the chaff doesn't ram into it with it raised a bit. Extending the tail board may be necessary to anchor the longer louvers. I would sure give that stuff a try before attemping some sort of spinners. If your talking crops that can use a bunch of wind you will likely find success. Good luck
