My 85 N5 has a chopper and it does a good job chopping bean stubble even with the knives out. But I hate it in corn, I have it on the slow side and the knives out and the cobs beat the %$@n out of the back of the discharge chamber. I have replaced the back and it still brakes the back out. I had a N5 that burnt that did not have a chopper and I no-tilled behind it with no trouble. If I had any corn I would not want a chopper.
