Spreading Cheer to Seniors

I saw on the news that Meals on Wheels isn't allowing volunteers to visit with the seniors when they drop off food anymore. Since this human interaction is one of the only ones they get, I imagine it is very difficult for the seniors right now.

So, I'm having my kids color pictures and write little notes for them. When we get several done, I'll send them to our local program. I know it's not the same as a real personal interaction, but hopefully it will brighten their day.

That is a fantastic idea! I think I'll steal that one and have my kids do some artwork for our local nursing homes, too. It has to be especially tough on the residents these days, not being able to see their families and friends.
