If you run in soft or hilly conditions you will probably wish you had the higher horse power models. Good machine but I'm not familiar with the newer model. Check out agriculture.com_ Click on "talk", then click on "machinery talk". Usually get good feedback.

Hey Ripped, what is the quality like on the corn your taking off these day's. I've heard from some guys that the quality is getting worse the longer you leave it. I was up to Stratford on Monday and there is still some big fields of corn left north of Embro. Any how, good luck with the rest of your harvest.

How are you doingIJ Don't ask about quality cause there is none there! It really sucks but the farmer wants it off so what do you do! He hasn't seen his drying bill cause once he does he might wish that he left it standing. Test weight is running all over the place 40-46 lbs_bushel. Hope to be able to finish it tomorrow if I can still find it. Wednesday we already had about 10-12'' of snow between the rows so I just keep adjusting my acre counter for head height. Just returned from the dryer and took a moisture test when it's unthawed it's still 28-30%. His next problem is trying to find a home for the ****. I called around today but nobody wants grade 5_sample grade corn. What keeps you busy this time of yearIJ Trucking or counting your moneyIJ YEAH RIGHT PROBABlY NOT THIS YEAR. Anyhow talk to you later!

Usually we are trucking out some corn this time of year, but we're waiting for that HUGE price rally just around the corner. So our trucks are not busy. I don't have my truck licence, so it is my uncle or my dad that get that job. I just stand in the cold and load it for them. I blow snow for some of the neighbors, so that keeps me busy when it snows. Other than that, it's just meetings and thinking of new and exciting ways to increase our work load from April to November. PS- If you still looking for a second machine... our local JD dealer has a real nice used '03 STS with your name on it.

You know better! I wouldn't deal with those guys again. Sometimes you learn from your mistakes. I have been screwed once before and I'm not a sucker for more! I think that I'll stay red. Is that Dwight's machine or your dad'sIJ Custom work must be good cause trading for a new machine every year must cost some coin. It will work until they sink too much into the trade and then can't move it! Inventory is hurting them cause I hang out with one of there sales guys and he told me sales a really tuf. Talk to Ryan he might be able to justify another big machine for backup. Heard you already put some hours on your new one. I thought you would be a prime candidate for the first local 8010 CaseIh. I'm sure it would look good beside that MX.

I assume when you mention Dwight, you mean in Mitchell. What happened thereIJ I was in Seaforth yesterday and most of his inventory is parked at the big V lot.

As you know you can't make money when you deal with flat corn, mud and snow !!! And no it's not cause I have green. SO are you still planning on getting your tractor painted this winterIJ What's going on with the sprayer you're looking atIJ Planning on spraying third party for sylviteIJ Ya agra turf sure is having there eyes opened up with Dey's down the road! later folks

Hey Greengoose I was waiting for you today at Timy's. Talked with one of your green friends this morning there. I finally got finished this afternoon. We needed the 4wd to make it over some big drifts but hey what can I say He pays by the acre. It don't matter if I'm detasseling or actually harvesting. As far as next year goes we will see with that second machine. I like to see how loyal these customers are after a rate increase which is required after a harvest like this year. Did you see there big "CONSIGNMENT AD"IJ That tells me they are getting a little afraid of "off brand" used farm equipment. As far as that sprayer goes nothing is engraved in stone I'm just looking for some opinions regarding this model. I thought of calling Robinson but his is a 4260. I find with Dey's that you get your value for your money. He does my tractor service work and I can't complain at all. I would recommend him to anybody. He is more at my level where you have to work for your money.

Ripped yes I've seen the BIG consignment ad that was in the farmer. In terms of putting up your price, you won't have to worry about your customers. If you do a good job and they are pleased then there shouldnt be any problems. I'll agree with you on that about Dey's but there are certain things I've heard about and seen first hand that I dont agree with in terms of fixing combines! Actually deere has been pretty good to me lately I can't really complain on there service department at all!
