Combines St louis Farm show

Bob, I went there yesterday and I did't see a green or red(CIH) combine there. I saw the red MF combine, yellow NH and your Gleaner(a R65). They all look like they should work nice. I liked the gleaner grainhead with the SCH knife and the U2 reel. IlNH

What is a U2 reelIJ Was this on the new 8000 headerIJ Randy

Randy, It was a new 800 head and I think they call it a U2 reel, could be worng. It flips over as it goes around and salesman say it will not wrap up like a pipe reel can. You may have seen them on older MF heads. I would like to see one work someday. IlNH

We had a U2 reel on a 15' Massey grain head. It did not wrap except on the ends. An end kit would have fixed this. The reel had alumnium reel bats with metal pickup tines. Very good reel. Too bad the rest of the combine wasn't as good as the reel. But then I wouldn't have discovered Gleaner. I hope to make it to louisville Ky this winter and see all these new machines ya'll have been talking about. T3
