Combines ST Rice Rotor

IH appears to be keeping this secret, and I haven't found anyone who's seen one. From the description, however, I'd guess it's similar to our patent 6,261,176 which deals with installing rasp type, as opposed to rub type rotor bars.

The store here in town has installed ST Rotors in the 8010s look pretty much like the AFX rotor but the teeth or bar pedestals are longer making the drum smaller in diameter, think they designed it for rice not enough area for all the straw to pass was eating up horse power wish they would retro fit one for 2100's. 8010 rotor is actualy about 8 inches shorter than 2100's an they say size matters!!!!

ST rotor is 2 inch less diameter and each rasp bar is 1 inch taller. less rasp bars on ST, also a different wrap angle. Designed for rice but works very well in soybeans as well. Hope this helps.

That's similar to what we've been doing for quite a few years, although rather than reducing the rotor diameter, we shorten the bar mounts and install a bar which is about 5_8" taller, using rasp type teeth, with about 18" coverage from front to rear of the mount. We've had them in virtually all crops, except rice, but they feed vines, thick grass crops, etc. well enough that I don't think rice would be a problem. There are somewhat more than 200 installed in IH machines and we have them in NH as well. AGCO likes them well enough that they're licensed for installation in the Massey_Challenger machines. I'd still like to see a photo of a ST rotor, however.
