I have a question about starting fluid in a diesel. I have a diesel-safe starting fluid that says do not use with diesel engines with glow plugs. What happens if I do?

Worst case scenario..........Explosion. Best case scenario.......blown gaskets. There is ether in that fluid and that is highly combustible. If you need starting fluid to get it going and it has glow plugs, the the plugs aren't working properly. Either replace them if you can or disable them completely. If you do that, then the fluid can go in.

There are probably 5000 videos of people using liquid fire on diesels to get them started on YouTube.
