Combines steering hard 750 760 easy fix maybe

Yep have had this on both my massey combines the first was a 542 Australian design machine and also on my silver cab 760. Its amazing the difference a few squirts of oil down the steering shaft will make. These orbitrol units should turn free and easy and any sign of stiffness needs the oil can. Have seen a couple of mechanics that wanted to pull the unit down for repairs instead tho! I have seen pictures of that hilly north west country under crop - how do you stop your topsoil from going in the river every yearIJ What type of soilsIJ are they stony IJ

Grayhawk Some guys strip crop,but leaving alot of trash on the ground helps. Some times nothing helps. Soils are for the most part, good deep soil with few rocks.
