The header lift valve has a plastic check valve that wears and gets chipped causing a slow or fast header drop depending on how bad. Had to replace it in my 1480 last season. Also if you have automatic header height control, a leaking valve(C) can do the same thing, valve (C) is not rebuildable so I removed it and plugged the line, I have no use for auto height control.

Vincent, what type of diagram are you looking forIJ A hydraulic or parts. A hyd. one let me know I could maybe run pages off and fax to you. Parts one you could go to a dealer, if has the abc system should be able to print you a copy.(I'd help with this but don't have my cd rom yet) They are a very good buy for anyone with any amount of acres or do alot of your own maintainence. Were able to get thru dealer on line or over internet for 75.00 ea.
