Combines Stewart steel Axceller

Re:Stewart steel Axceller I have installed the axceller kit on a 1991 1680 specialty rotor. It works great in green stem soybeans. We combined beans together with a 2388 with an AFX rotor, the 1680 has a 500n torque sensing spring in the rotor pullies and the cummins engine has been tweeked! We could run side by side. 1680 had a 25' 1020 head and the 2388 had a 30', actually the 1680 could outdo the 2388 in tough beans. The axceller kit feeds the rotor more even, no rumbling in the rotor with less engine strain. The rotor runs very smooth and quiet. Tonight I was combining corn 170 bu at 22% moisture and finished loading the truck in the rain, the axceller kit performed well with the wet corn stalks. Performance wise, I would rate the axceller kit and specialty rotor equal to the AFX rotor set up, with less money spent. Harvested 1200 acres soybeans, 300 acres corn, did not experience anything negative with axceller kit. I removed 1680 feeder house, rock trap beater and blocked up rotor and installed axceller kit on specialty front without removing rotor from machine. $1600 spent, a very good experience!
