Maybe fine mod for corn and soybeans but for crops that run heavy return to cylinder you could end up with a pile of tailings down between front and rear chain when run empty. Very hard to get feeder flowing again over tailings. We set to grain positions with shocks and have found nothing to work better. We do run rear chain .1" to .2" tighter than specs (did I say thatIJ). I have three machines that I lowered rear of rear feed floor and resealed up like R65 75s and have drastically reduced feed chain plugging. Extremely doubt it is just the year for crop was very heavy and other machines bothering in usual way. Some increase was noted by switching up to the old lateral tilt feeder drive pulley. Switching the '92 and prior machine pulleys to 'eff machine pulley is a big plus also. Good luck
