Dear Converted Red, I am the Disrupter guy and I have many many customers using my poducts with the same problem that you have decribed.First of all the stright bars that you refer to are retarder bars. They are in your combine to retard the corn crop to keep the corn shucks over the seperation section longer to unload the corn. They also retard the bean crop that you don't want. With my system you will remove all the bars over the seperation section and replace them with rice spike bars. Then you will install a set of Disrupter lugs in your grates. The rice spike bar will swing within 1_8" of THE Disrupter lugs and first you will cut up your green stem bean straw, and next you will distroy the corn shucks that carry your corn out. I also recomend that you pull 1_2 of the wires from n2 and n3 concave. Wires are only in their for corn cobs, not wheat straw or bean straw. I would be happy to visit with you any time at 1(800) 235-4461 ask for Don. We have over 9000 sets in service now. Thanks.
