Redekop sells a retro-fit rotor_improvement kit for the 8820 Deere choppers but I don't know if they will sell you a complete chopper or not.

How about the fixed knivesIJ They need to be removed_retracted with concave in the middle position and the chopper in slow speed. The straw will still seem to disappear.
