Combines straw choppers

Todd's knife kit surely helps to some extent and surely takes no extra power. We have only installed three but just ordered a couple more. I believe they run about $125US. He has sold bunches of them. I have ordered pulley for super cut and will install it on standard chopper system with Todd's knifes. I have an idea who's machine is going to get it and it should be running with other standard chopper systems in same conditions. Fine cut chopper works great for what I have seen but to early to know of any down falls or longevity. Catch you later.

Been using Agco fine cut chopper since 2001, they sure can chop the straw. The only complaints I would have are the hammers have been inconsistant as to the wear associated with the bushings, they are better some problems with hardning I believe. For us 200 hours is what bushings last. looked at the Rodono chopper first then talked to Agco engineers @ hesston when they had their tour and got on a list for theirs. Had no issues with the Rodono unit looked well built and With the extra hammers am sure it would chop well, the new agco chopper does not in my opinion use any more power than the old ones.

I use a 1660 that came with a Redekop chopper when I traded. They are made in Sask. Canada. I've had not 5min. trouble using it, does a fine job. Also, there's a slo-down kit for corn if need be. Posts from others here like their TSR's as well. Any good chopper at a scrapyard won't stay there long.
