You have to slow down about 2 gears lower then normal. It doesnt look like there is alot there but it is deceiving. We had a couple of neighbours bale behind us last year. And they loved the straw for feeding their cows. But we had problems this year with the chaff rows. We dropped behind a 36foot header and the chaff being concentrated in that narrow space choked out our canola. So we had nice strips every 36 feet. We zero till so no more dropping straw behind it for us ,,,unless it is for our own use. We farm in Canada and we figure the loss on that quarter of land was around $5,000.00. With the canola that didnt grow.
