No it wouldn't make it faster. Matter of fact, the STS design allows it to go much faster in tougher conditions (i.e. green-stem beans) than other rotors because of the tines and egg-shaped rotor cage. The reason that a CAT can go so fast is because it is a class VII combine (only one marketed in North America).

Your wrong. The Gleaner R-72 is a class 7 machine and was marketed in North America long before the Claas machine (whoops CAT) was even born!

My bad. I meant class 8. The 480_485 Claas (I refuse...none of you CAT lovers would consider this if it was painted the manufacturer's colors) is a class 8 combine...which is the largest on the market.
