I have run an N6, R62 and this year an R75. I have had single spread, double spread and a Straw Storm. I'm back to a single spread this time. The S S was certainly best, but on the N6 it took lots of power. When bearings went out and I removed it, the machine just jumped when I pushed the hydro - more power back to the basic operations. I end up running a harrow afterward to spread the straw. I have to think there are better ways to do the straw spreading, particularly in tougher wheat. The chaff is not a problem for me. The layer is dispersed enough. I don't know what a MAV is. I could use some advice too.
