When the spreader alarm goes off you should be able to turn it off by pushing the "alarm off" button (varies by what series machine you have) but it will reset itself automaticly whenever it senses the spreaders are turning properly again. I've had an alarm do this to me and I agree, it will absolutely drive you nuts. The only way I could keep the alarm off was to unplug it. That way when I turned it off it would stay off and not reset.
