Combines stripped oil plug

The only thing I could think of is JB Weld the old plug in place . Drain good first and clean, clean, clean. Then drill a new hole the size of a brass female pipe coupling and braze it in or weld in a black pipe coupling. Then use 3_8 or 1_2 plug for new drain. The danger here is welding with petol in the pan. Pumping in co2, N or exhaust would prevent possiblity of explosion - which I don't think would happen but then my lawyer just lost 3 years off his life. Never mind and don't do anything in this post.

Tim, I'm surpised you didn't reccomend flipping the car over and welding in a new plug. That way he won't have to waste all that good used oil!

Do as tbran said a JB weld the drain plug in place and then use one of those gadgets that suck the oil out though the dipstick tube for future oil changes. Also seems like you might find an expandable rubber plug at some auto parts stores.

Try welding a nut to each side of a flat washer. Then spot weld one of the nuts to the oil plug. The flat washer will give you a place to pry out with a bar and the nut will let you turn the plug out.

I did think about that, but I guess I thought about MY truck which contains 4,456,897 misc items in the rear seat and bed and tool box. Turning it upside down would take 1.2 years by my calculations to reposition all the items.

I wondered where my truck went!!
