IF you set up a 62-72 etc the way we have talked about below, plus adding filler strips in position 1,2 6,and7 it works great. I have done this in unsalted down rice, damp, 150+ bu 24 direct cut, 6"mud tracks at 2.4MPH amd could have done better. Don't let anyone say a Gleaner will not cut rice, I know better. In fact, the P3 R70 we set up out cut 3 1466Rice machines with 17' heads one afternoon. One reason is we could get All the rice our of the head with out running the cyl so close it wiped out rotor belts. Our field loss was exactly the same as the IH's no better no worse. When you run a slug of wet green stuff through ti inside you are going to have loss no matter what color or name is on the outside. Stripper heads work well in Rice on any machine, especially the MF or Glnr ones. We sell our stripper heads to the Green and Red guys. And they do not buy them because they are cheap.
